Program Description
Genealogical Society of Rockland County Meeting
Event Details
Many of us have ancestors who were admitted into the U.S. through ports of entry such as Ellis Island - but what happened if someone was denied entry? We'll be watching a taped presentation from the U.S. National Archives which discusses the Immigration and Naturalization Services' Exclusion and Deportation files, and how we can use them for genealogy research. We'll cover some brief Genealogical Society business just before the meeting, but you don't have to be a member to join in - all are welcome to attend! Questions? Call Joe Barbieri at the New City Library at 845 634 4997 x123 or email him at jbarbieri@newcitylibrary.org
