Week Calendar

An interactive program for one year old walkers with an adult.  Join Miss Amy for playtime, stories, songs and more!  Please register with your New City or West Nyack Library Card.

A 45 minute program for a two-year-old and adult working together. Learn fingerplays and songs, listen to a fun book, play the matching game, learn some sign language and enjoy a simple craft together.  This program requires registration. 

Children ages 12 months and up are invited to sing and dance along with every toddler's favorite performer. Sing along with Kurt or maybe take the mic yourself!  Of course there are always the bubbles to pop!
Limited space available on a first-come, first-served basis to holders of New City or West Nyack Library cards. Limit one adult per child.

Babies and a caregiver can drop in for playtime and songs. A New City or West Nyack Library card is required.  

Preschools will watch their favorite picture books come to life on the big screen while sitting in a cozy cardboard coupe.  Each movie is approximately 30 minutes.

Drop in anytime during this two-hour session for help with downloading eBooks, digital magazines, digital audiobooks, streaming video and accessing digital content from your library.

Come read to Buster and his friends!  Certified therapy dogs and their handlers will be on hand to help new readers, struggling readers and those children who just want to read to the dogs.  Therapy dogs don't judge how well you read, they are just happy to listen--which is great for practicing those reading skills without the judgment of a teacher or parent.  Each child is given a 15 minute time slot. Open to holders of New City or West Nyack Library cards.

A program designed for a three-year-old and adult working together.  We'll explore a different theme each week through a variety of fun activities including: fingerplays, songs, sign language, books, science activities, crafts and take home materials in order to reinforce the concepts learned.  We'll pull an item each week out of the "Surprise Bag" and explore the topic together.   Due to fire code regulations, please bring only the child accompanied by one adult who is registered for the program. This program requires registration. 

We'll explore stories, concepts and activities geared to this age group - and have fun doing it! Open to New City/West Nyack library families. Adults do not need to participate, but must remain in the library.

Everyone aged 7-12, drop in to the library for a game of chess.  Boards, opponents, and basic instruction is provided.  NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!
