Program Description

Event Details

Gustav Klimt dominated cultural life in Vienna at the turn of the 20th century and rode the crest of modernism that captured the European imagination. Klimt's protege, Egon Schiele, shocked the world with his dazzling and often erotic works. Art history lecturer Janet Mandel will explore Klimt's extraordinary life and art during the first session and will look at the intense works and tragically short life of Schiele in the second.
