Event Details

In just over 8 weeks, a group of over 600 volunteers and donors, led by two Nyack artists, Bill Batson and Donna Timm, have created and distributed over 12,000 handmade cloth face masks. After providing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for nearly every front line institution in Rockland County, and the residents of the Village of Nyack, the group now promotes mask wearing and has started to stockpile masks for a potential second wave in the winter. Bill and Donna will discuss the Mask Makers' efforts to help make Rockland County safer during the Covid-19 crisis.
