About Us:

Hudson Valley Romance Writers of America, located in the lower Hudson Valley in New York State, is a sub-chapter of Romance Writers of America, which began in 1984 with a small group of dedicated writers meeting in a local library.  In 1986 two of our founders decided that it was time to incorporate and the official chapter was born.  We are a unique group of writers, both published and unpublished, who strive for excellence in our pursuits.  Among our members and former members are RITA winners or finalists, Golden Heart finalists, EPPIE winners, and New York Times best-selling authors.  Our diverse group of writers is dedicated to supporting members' creative and publishing goals and to promoting the romance genre.
