Dr. Cypkin is offering more beautiful music from the Yiddish theater in this new program. The concert portion of the program will include music made famous by Molly Picon, Aaron Lebedeff, Menashe Skulnik, and other beloved Yiddish performers such as Itzik Feld, Yetta Zwerling, Menasha Oppenheim, Misha and Lucy Gehrman, Isa Kremer and Seymour Rechzeit. In the fascinating lecture portion of the program, Dr. Cypkin will explain how these fine performers and their beautiful songs earned a permanent place in Yiddish theater — and our hearts— forever.
