Event Details
We’ll be watching a pre-recorded session from the National Archives & Records Administration, presented by NARA Archivists Elizabeth Burnes and John LeGloahec. Alien Registration Forms were utilized from 1940 to 1944 in response to the 1940 Alien Registration Act, which required all immigrants aged 14 and up to register their noncitizen status with the federal government and be assigned an Alien Registration Number. We’ll learn about useful information found on these forms and how to request them from NARA. We’ll be watching on the big screen at the library but you can also join us through Zoom. Presented in conjunction with the Genealogical Society of Rockland County. Non-members are always welcome to attend!
