A joint program from the New City Library and Genealogical Society of Rockland County. Everyone is welcome, you don't have to be a Genealogical Society member to attend!

Expanding Your Ancestor’s Footprint
Learn to utilize the techniques of collateral research, or what genealogist Elizabeth Shown Mills refers to as your ancestors F.A.N. Club(Friends, Associates and Neighbors). Librarian and family researcher Susan Schuler will share how to use this method to break down brick walls, build genealogical proof and place your ancestor’s life in historical context. Ms. Schuler will be joining us via Zoom and you are welcome to watch from home, or on the big screen at the New City Library. If you'd like to attend via Zoom, enter an email address and select "Online" from the "Would you like to attend in-person or online?" drop-down box when registering.
