Join genealogist and researcher Ralph Blauvelt as he explores the story of Captain Willem Albertsen Blauvelt. Mr. Blauvelt's new book Bluefields is a documentary biography of this seventeenth century adventurer, a Dutchman who sailed the West Indies on a French ship and was listed among the English buccaneers, who called him Blewfield or Bluefield. Join Mr. Blauvelt as he shares his experiences using Dutch colonial records from New Netherland to bring Captain Blauvelt's adventures to life in the twenty first century.
