In difficult times, individuals have a way of doing the impossible. From the librarians during the Great Depression who brought books by packhorse to communities in Appalachia to “The Black Fairy Godmother,” a single mother  in New Jersey who uses Instagram to help people in need, this lecture tells stories of Americans who answer the call in times of crisis.
