Program Description

Event Details

1968 was the most turbulent year of the Swinging 60s. America seemed to be coming apart with the Vietnam War becoming increasingly unpopular and the assassinations of Martin Luther King and Robert Kennedy. There was a riot during the Democratic National Convention in Chicago. There were trouble spots around the world, in Czechoslovakia, France, Mexico. Lyndon Johnson decided to not seek re-election as president. Women’s Lib and the civil rights movement were major issues. But the year ends with man circling the moon.
